Applicant must be a citizen of India. Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal, except certain employees of the Government of West Bengal who have separate provisions. Detailed domicile criteria include continuous residence of at least ten years or parents being permanent residents of West Bengal, supported by prescribed certificates (Proforma A1 or B) or specified documents. Candidate must have passed the 10+2 level examination from any recognised board listed on the WBJEEB website. Candidate must have passed the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course from an institute recognised by the Indian Nursing Council. Candidate must obtain registration or RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India. 'Pass' implies clearing both theory and practical (where applicable) and completing all course requirements including internship before admission.

Use only www.wbjeeb.nic.in or www.wbjeeb.in to access the JEPBN 2026 application form. Keep a valid mobile number and unique email ID because all future communication will be sent to those contacts. Registration details like name, parents' names, domicile and date of birth cannot be changed later, so they must exactly match official documents. Do not share application number and password with anyone to avoid misuse. Registration: Enter personal details such as name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, gender, identification details, address, mobile number and email ID and create a password. After submission, an application number is generated and sent via SMS or email. Fill Application Form: Provide additional information including domicile, category, PwD status, religion, nationality and academic details. Upload Images: Upload recent colour photograph (10 to 200 KB) and signature (4 to 30 KB) in JPG/JPEG format in one step. If there is any discrepancy in images as communicated by SMS or email, correct it within one day or admit card will not be issued. Pay Examination Fee: Pay the examination fee of ₹3000 plus applicable bank service charges through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI or QR Code. Fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances, and candidates are advised not to wait till the last day to pay. Download Confirmation Page: After successful payment and completion of steps, download and safely keep the confirmation page; the application remains incomplete until this page is generated.

Application mode: Online only. Application fee: ₹3000 plus bank charges. Exam mode: OMR-based Common Entrance Test. Exam date and time: 07.06.2026 (Sunday), 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Duration: 90 minutes. Total questions: 100 multiple-choice questions. Language: English only. Structure: Single paper with two parts (Part A and Part B). Part A (40 questions) covers: Anatomy, Physiology, Sociology, Psychology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Pathology. Part B (60 questions) covers: Foundation of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrical Nursing, Community Health Nursing. Scoring: Each correct response carries 1 mark. Each incorrect response carries -0.25 mark (25 percent negative). Marking more than one option, even if one is correct, is treated as incorrect and attracts -0.25 mark. No response attracts zero marks. Application Correction: Mostly all data except primary registration data can be corrected only during the notified correction period via login; WBJEEB will not entertain corrections after that. Candidates must carefully read the JEPBN 2026 information bulletin before applying, as it contains all details about eligibility, exam pattern, application procedure, reservation, domicile, and counselling rules.
