Eligibility
Criteria

Only Punjab domicile candidates are eligible for reservation benefits. Domicile/Residence Certificate (not older than 5 years) is mandatory for all candidates. All certificates (SC/BC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen/Sports/Freedom Fighter) must be as per Punjab Government instructions. Candidates must also possess knowledge of Punjabi language (Matriculation level or equivalent) as per Punjab Civil Services Rules, 1994.

Application Fee For Gen / EWS / Freedom Fighter / Sports Candidates: Rs 1000/- For SC / BC / EWS Candidates: Rs 250/- For Ex-Servicemen & Dependent: Rs 200/- Selection Process Written Examination (Objective Type MCQ) Two parts: Part-A (Punjabi Language – Qualifying only, minimum 50% marks required) Part-B (Main paper – Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Part-B only) Negative marking of ¼ mark for every wrong answer. Merit List Prepared only on the basis of Part-B marks. In case of tie: Date of Birth (older candidate preferred) → Higher percentage in educational qualification → Matriculation marks. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Only candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for PMT & PET (in order of merit and category-wise vacancies). Document Verification / Counseling Original documents and certificates will be verified. Final selection is subject to verification and medical fitness. Important : Qualifying PMT/PET does not guarantee appointment. Final appointment depends on document verification and merit.
