SAMEER, Mumbai offers Level 01 work based learning on their initiatives/activities in the following
domain:
1. RF and Microwave systems
2. Linear Accelerator systems
3. Opto-Electronics
The selected candidates be mentored by the scientists and experts at SAMEER.

Eligibility: Passed out Graduate Engineers or equivalent, M.Sc., with following specializations:
1. B.E./B.Tech (Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer
Science/ IT)
2. M.Sc. (Physics/ Electronics)
3. Master of Computer Application

The incumbents would gain rich work experience working on live State level or National Level
initiatives.

Candidates, who possess the prescribed degree with minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA awarded by the university up to the closing date of application, will only be considered. For the post of Senior Research Scientist, crucial date for counting experience will be the closing date of applications. The relevant experience possessed before acquiring the essential qualifications will not be counted. In such cases, the required experience will be counted only from the date the essential qualifications acquired. Experience must be in field of active research and development related to field. The prescribed essential qualifications/experience is bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for written test/skill test. 5. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing for screening test/ interview. 6. SAMEER reserves the right to reject or accept the candidature of any applicant at any stage. 7. SAMEER reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify/alter the recruitment process, if need arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof 8. Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post they have applied. SAMEER was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory at Mumbai under the then Department of Electronics, Government of India with a broad mandate to undertake R & D work in the areas of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. It is an offshoot of the special microwave products unit (SMPU) set up in 1977 at the TATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER, Mumbai was setup in 1984.
The centre of Electromagnetics, Chennai of the then Department of Electronics (DOE) was merged with SAMEER in 1987.

SAMEER Kolkata centre was set up in 1994 for research & Development in Millimetrewave Technology.

A new centre is being established at Navi Mumbai campus of SAMEER for augmentation of EMI/EMC FACILITY for CE Marking of Electronics products.
