About Sainik School Balachadi

A Jewel among twenty four others all over the country, Sainik School Balachadi is situated at a very picturesque and pleasant nook of Jamnagar. The land and some buildings of His Highness the Jam Saheb of Nawanagar which was handed over to the state government to be used by the school are still resplendent with their past glory and fame. Sainik School Balachadi is the only school of its kind in the State of Gujarat providing residential, military biased, CBSE education to the youth of this state. This is more popularly known as a feeder institution to the prestigious National Defence Academy. The School was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri in July 1965 at Balachadi, 30 km away from Jamnagar.
