Candidates must fulfil all the prescribed eligibility conditions before applying for Jharkhand Home Guard Ramgarh Recruitment 2026. The eligibility criteria include domicile, age, educational qualification, physical standards, and technical proficiency (for Urban Technical candidates). Domicile (Aawasiya): For Rural Home Guards - the applicant must be a permanent resident of the block of Ramgarh district from which they are applying. An online residential certificate issued by the competent authority of the State Government must be attached as a self-attested photocopy. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026): Minimum 19 years and Maximum 40 years. Self-attested photocopy of the date of birth certificate issued by the competent authority must be attached. Educational Qualification: For Rural Home Guards - minimum Class 7th Pass. Self-attested photocopy of the educational certificate issued by the competent authority must be attached. Physical Standards (same for both Rural and Urban candidates): Measurement Category Standard Height (Lambai) - Male General / OBC / BC 162 cm SC / ST 157 cm Female (all categories) All categories 148 cm Chest (Seena) - Male only General / OBC / BC 79 cm SC / ST 76 cm

Home Guards are voluntary members who are deployed on duty as per necessity and paid allowances at the rate determined by the Government for the number of working days of deployment.

Online applications are to be submitted at https://recruitment.jharkhand.gov.in, and the printed application along with documents must be submitted at the District Commandant Office, Ramgarh.

Application Fee: ₹100/- (One Hundred Rupees) for all categories. Nature of Engagement: Voluntary / Honorary (not a salaried government job); enrollment for 4 years. As per the Jharkhand Home Guard (Volunteer) Rules, 2014, Home Guards are enrolled for a period of 4 years, and re-enrollment of previously enrolled Home Guards whose bond expires after 4 years is done under Kandika-6. Online Application Window: 07/05/2026 to 04/06/2026. Printout Submission (at District Office): 08/05/2026 to 05/06/2026. Date of Physical/Written Test: To be communicated later through daily newspapers.
