Qualification
Full time regular course in ITI/EIectrical/ Electrician/Wireman with minimum 60% marks and 2 years apprenticeship experience in PSEB now PSPCL. OR Full time Regular Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks. OR Full time Regular Diploma in Electronics and communication with 60% marks. OR Full time Regular Diploma in Instrumentation and process control with 60% marks.

Scale
A Newly appointed candidates shall be granted pay scales in accordance with Govt. of Punjab, Department of Finance (Finance Personnel-I Branch) letter no. 7/42/2020-5FPl/741-746, Chandigarh dated 17.07.2020. The pay scales will be intimated later and these will be applicable during the probation period mentioned in the offer of appointment or extended probation period whichever is more. However, in case of appointment of candidates already in service in PSPCL, their pay shall be protected if the 'fixed monthly emoluments' in the offer of appointment are lower than the pay actually drawn by them on the post on which they hold lien. But they will not be given any increment or any other allowance except TA during the probation period.

As per Punjab Govt. Notification G.S.R.20/Const./Art.309/Amd.(10)/2010 dated 24.05.2010, the age limit as on 1/1/2021 for eligibility for these posts will be 18 to 37 years and relaxation in age will be as per Govt. of Punjab instructions.

PSPCL reserves the right to call the final selected candidates once put up on the merit list, as per the number of actual seats available. ii The candidate must possess the prescribed qualifications as per para-4 including reservation certificate up to the last date of online registration. The candidates whose results have been officially and publically declared till the last date of online registration shall only be eligible to apply. iii Selected candidate must register in PSPCL apprentice establishment through GOI Apprenticeship website before joining the allotted station as Apprentice Lineman in PSPCL.

PSPCL was incorporated as company on 16-04-2010 and was given the responsibility of operating and maintenance of State’s own generating projects and distribution system. The business of Generation of power of erstwhile PSEB was transferred to PSPCL.

The 1980 MW (3×660) Talwandi Sabo Power Project awarded to M/s Sterlite Energy Ltd. Mumbai on 4.7.08 and PPA signed on 1.9.08. Power purchase agreement with M/S GVK for installing 2×270 MW thermal power station at Goindwal Sahib signed on 26 May 2009. The foundation stone has been laid and the company has started the construction
