About Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Limited(PAIC)
It gives me a great pleasure to state that Punjab Agro Industries Corporation (PAIC), a premier organization of the Punjab Government has been doing outstanding work in the field of project development, contract farming, marketing of quality agricultural inputs, promotion/ assistance in export and distant marketing of Horticulture produce. Incorporated in the year 1966, with the objective to provide quality inputs viz fertilizers, pesticides and tractors to the farmers, PAIC ventured into promotion and implementation of agro processing units in the state in the early 1980s. In 1997, Punjab Agri Export Corporation Ltd. (PAGREXCO) was promoted by PAIC and Punjab Mandi Board with the main objective to promote/ assist export and distant marketing of Horticulture produce and to create post-harvest infrastructure. In the year 2002, Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation Ltd. (PAFC) a wholly owned subsidiary was incorporated to focus on contract farming, procurement of foodgrains and marketing of quality agri inputs.
