The candidates should bring all the relevant original certificates for document verification and a self-attested copy of all the relevant certificates to be submitted to the Head of Department(s) on the day of the interview. The interview of the candidates is scheduled to be held on the same day, i.e., 03.07.2023 (Monday) at 11:30 A.M.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The nature of the engagement is purely temporary for a period of one semester.
  • If selected, one-month notice is required on either side to quit the post during the said tenure.
  • Candidates should have Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
  • The selected candidate will be required to join immediately.
  • Canvassing in any form will render a candidate ineligible.
  • Institute reserves the right to select or reject a candidate without assigning any reason/s thereof.
  • This temporary engagement does not confer any right on the applicant to claim either continuous employment or permanency at NIT Puducherry in the future.
  • The institute reserves the right to defer or cancel the advertisement at any stage of processing without assigning any reasons, if required.
  • The candidates are informed to adhere to the reporting time during the interview (as informed).
  • The institute reserves the right to place a reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for an interview. Mere fulfillment of the qualification per se does not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview.

About National Institute of Technology, Puducherry (NITPY) :

ORIGIN National Institute of Technology, Puducherry (NITPY), is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology situated in Karaikal, Puducherry. NIT Puducherry is also one of the newly formed ten NITs, sanctioned by the Government of India in 2009, as part of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2007–2012). FACILITIES NIT Puducherry is currently functioning from Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science College, Nehru Nagar, Karaikal. Land for the construction of the new campus had already been procured near village Poovam (258 acres) from the government of Puducherry in Karaikal. Construction of the college campus is under progress. ADMISSION Students are admitted to the Institute based on the marks obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE – Mains).
