Responsibilities

a. Development and implementation of various processes within the IT Department to ensure planned growth, effective operation and maintenance of IT Infrastructure. b. Project Management (Scope, Cost, time, resource, and quality and communication management). c. Design and Development of online applications (particularly using MS SQL Server & Visual Studio development tools) d. Carrying out comprehensive analysis of the functional and non-functional requirements of the various proposed IT application and develop application design alternatives. e. Reviewing of various technical documents, developing the Hosting Platform and the DR Site Specifications (including DR Drill process). f. Developing comprehensive cost estimates of all components/modules of the application, Maintenance & Support Services, Hosting Platform and the DR Site. g. Ensuring timely estimates for development /customization and implementation of the proposed application. h. Contract Management including Procurement and implementation of various IT infrastructure components at Patalganga Campus. i. Ensuring effective implementation of Change Management Process j. The above-mentioned job responsibilities are indicative and the candidate may be required to carry out any other IT related responsibility across the various Schools/Departments of the Institute as per requirement.

Interaction will mostly be web based however, if called for physical interaction, outstation candidates will be reimbursed ‘Y’ Class Air fare for the to and fro journey, subject to submission of necessary documentary evidence. 2. Qualification

Candidates with or without Ph.D having a good academic record and preferably Master’s degree (or equivalent professional qualification) with atleast 60% marks from a reputed institution with not less than 15 years of managerial or professional experience in the areas of specialisation as mentioned above shall be eligible for the post of Professor of Practice. Candidates should have worked in senior management positions for at least 5 years. Candidates with teaching experience is preferable.
