Minimum 1+ year of experience in networking with Linux system administration and exposure to enterprise LAN environments with mixed Linux–Windows setups.

Skills
Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), server/workstation hardware setup and maintenance, structured cabling, IPv4/IPv6, switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Mail, Web, Proxy servers, virtualization (KVM, VirtualBox), IT security practices (firewall, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS), and good documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities
Assist in configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure (L2/L3 switches and Wi-Fi); administer Linux and Windows servers and desktops; support mini data center operations (physical and virtual servers); monitor and maintain network services like DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Mail, Web, and Proxy; implement firewall and VPN configurations; assist in system hardening, patch management, and security monitoring; manage user accounts and access controls; develop and update maintenance scripts (Bash/Python/Perl); maintain system documentation and topology diagrams; provide technical support and coordinate with senior administrators; participate in backup and disaster recovery processes.

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), formerly known as the DOEACC Society, is an autonomous scientific society of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the government of India. The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The NIELIT (National Institute of Electronic and Information Technology) Scheme, jointly developed by AICTE and DeitY, was launched in 1990 after detailed deliberations in a National Working Group. The objective of the scheme is to generate high quality man-power in the computer software and allied fields by utilising the expertise and facilities available with various institutions in the non-formal sector. NIELIT Society is the only professional examination body in India, which accredits Computer courses in ‘O’ , ‘A’ , ‘B’ & ‘C’ level approving institutes / organizations for conducting particular course, specializing in the non-formal sector of IT education and training.
