National Rural Health Mission has been launched in nationwide on 12th April, 2005. The journey of National Rural Health Mission in U.T Chandigarh has witnessed the arrival of many milestones, which have been painted by our enthusiasm and strengthened by the implementation of the policies envisaged. We have attempted many innovative ventures like Project Uddhar, Project Foundation etc which have shapened as stepping stones for us into the arena of achievements with difference.
As Mission Director, I am confident that the commitment of the grass root level workers is our strength and shall go long way in launching our achievements on the horizon of success. Our efforts have been recognized by Chandigarh being awarded as RANK-III for IMR, Rank-I for OPD and Rak-I for surgical services as per HMIS data reported online. I hope, We, the team of Chandigarh NRHM shall explore the ventures not attempted so far and achieve results which seemed unachievable till date.
