Qualification

Pay Scale

Experience Requirements
Expertise in the relevant subject/field to the job description. The broad work experience should be on the functional areas specified by NFDB. Expertise in the field of Aquaculture with special reference to NFDB activities like Inland/Open sea cage culture, Sea weed Farming, Quality fish seed production, Ornamental fishes, Advanced Aquaculture Systems/ Wetland/Reservoir Development and Advisory services to aqua farming community will be preferred. The candidate having working association with key Govt. institutions and other stakeholder agencies will get priority.
Job Responsibilities
8226; Young Professionals (YPs) will be required to provide inputs on project feasibility, assessment and project appraisals. 8226; Should have expertise in preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) covering all aspects such as technical, financial, market analysis, supply chain, post-harvest and value addition marketing plan etc.8226; Should have competency to provide end-to-end coordination, monitoring and field level technical support of best management practices for technology promotion projects being implemented through research institutes/ State agencies/ Entrepreneurs. 8226; Should have demonstrated abilities in organising awareness programmes/seminars/workshops for capacity building and transfer of technology. 8226; Scope of work being vast will require academic credentials, professional achievements and proven leadership qualities on the part of the aspiring YPs. The detailed ToRs are attached at Annexure-III.

The YPs shall not be entitled to any benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowances, HRA, TA, CCA, DA or any other allowance except for the consolidated remuneration agreed to. 3. YPs shall not be entitled to any TA / Joining Time for joining the assignment. 4. YPs shall not be entitled to NFDB accommodation and facilities such as regular transport / telephone / internet connection or any other allowance.

About National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) :

The National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) was established in 2006 as an autonomous organization under the administrative control of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India to enhance fish production and productivity in the country and to coordinate fishery development in an integrated and holistic manner. A wide range of fishery development activities viz., intensive aquaculture in ponds and tanks, culture based capture fisheries in reservoirs, Coastal Aquaculture, Mariculture, Sea Weed cultivation, establishment of infrastructure, fishing harbours and fish landing centres, fishing dressing centres and solar drying of fish, domestic marketing, deep sea fishing and tuna processing, ornamental fisheries, trout culture, artificial reefs technology upgradation and capacity building of fishermen and fish farmers are being supported through the State Governments/Implementing agencies. The activities of NFDB are overseen by a Governing Body under the Chairmanship of the Union Agriculture Minister. The Governing Body and the Executive Committee consider and decide the activities of the Board and provide periodic guidance. The Executive committee, with the Secretary in charge of Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries as its Chairman, provides the general superintendence, direction and the control of the affairs and functions of the Board. The NFDB is headed by a Chief Executive.
