Masters in any Social Sciences (Preference will be given to Gender Studies). With 5 (five) years experience in any organization engaged in Teaching/Research/Voluntary work (Preference will be given to Gender Studies). OR Ph.D in Social Science (Preference will be given to Gender Studies).
Initially for a period of one year and extendable further depending on her/his performance up to the age of 60 years on consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.60,000/- (Rupees sixty thousand only). The Commission will have discretionary power to decide variation.
25 - 60 years
With 3 (three) years experience in any organization engaged in Teaching/ Research Noluntary work (Preference will be given to Gender Studies).

To examine, monitor, evaluate, advise and report on status and condition of women for ameliorating their condition in selected psychiatric institution identified by the Commission and report their progress through activities undertaken by special procedures, conducting visit and providing advice on emerging issues from gender perspective in collaboration with identified institutions. 2. To work on functioning of Swadhar Greh, prisons, widow homes and Psychiatric Hospitals/Homes. To work on policies, compile reports and take up issues related to the concerned Institutions/Authorities. Review the rehabilitation and discharge plan for long-stay women inmates. 3. To assess the status of mental health of women in India with a view to make suggestions for improvement in the institutional framework. To monitor cases relating to acid attacks. To examine the policy framework for assisting women-led enterprises with make suggestions for improvement in the institutional framework. 4. To monitor cases relating to acid attacks. To examine the policy framework for assisting women-led enterprises with a view to improving their incomes and empowering women. 5. To examine policy framework for reaching out to women farmers, putting enabling structure in place for improving their social status and building capacities. 6. To look at the use of internet and digitalization by women in India with specific reference to their awareness of threats in cyber space. Any other matter as may be decided by the Commission. 7. These activities would include organizing consultation with stakeholders, writing reviews of literature and policy papers, inspecting facilities and programmes as per requirement of the Commission.
