Eligibility Conditions for appointment on deputation (including short term contract) basis:

  • Officers under the Central/ State Government/ Union Territories/ Recognized Research Institutions/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Semi Government/ Autonomous/ Statutory Organizations including officers of Narmada Control Authority:
    • a) Who are drawing pay in Pay Matrix-14 including Non Functional Upgradation (Rs. 144200-218200) in parent cadre/ department; or
    • b) In Pay Matrix Level-13 (Rs.123100-215900) or equivalent with minimum 3 years regular service in the grade in the parent cadre/ department; or
    • c) In Pay Matrix Level-12 (Rs.78800-209200) or equivalent with minimum 8 years regular service in the grade in the parent cadre/ department; or
    • d) With minimum 17 years of regular service in Group ‘A’ posts or equivalent in the service out of which at least 1 year of service should be in Pay Matrix-13 (Rs.123100-215900) or equivalent (including service rendered in Non Functional Selection Grade) in the parent cadre/ department;
  • b) possessing the following qualifications and experiences:
    • Essential:
      • Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
      • The officer should have a minimum of overall experience of 5 years in planning, formulation/ execution of large, major and multipurpose river valley projects in the irrigation/power sector and also adequate administrative acumen.
    • Desirable:
      • Experience in dealing with Inter-State issues.

Note 1: The period of deputation (including short term contract) including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 5 years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not exceed 58 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.

Note 2: The officer should be from other than the beneficiary States, viz., Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Note 3: Exemption from the rule of immediate absorption is not required for appointment on deputation to the post.

About Narmada Control Authority (NCA)

The Narmada Control Authority (NCA) has been setup under the final orders and decision of the Narmada Water Disputes Tribunal (NWDT) as a machinery for implementation of its directions and decision. The authority started functioning from 20th December, 1980. The authority is a body corporate with representatives of the four States of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and representatives of Govt. Of India. The authority is funded in equal proportions by all the four states. Secretary (Water Resources), Govt. of India is the ex-officio Chairman of the Authority, whereas the routine administration is the responsibility of Executive Member of the Authority. NCA presently has six subgroups. The Narmada Control Authority has its headquarters at Indore.
