11. Age will be calculated as on 1st January of the year i.e., 01.01.2023.

General Conditions

• Decision whether to admit the candidate for the interview in case he or she fails to bring any required document rests entirely at the discretion of MCC, depending on the importance of the document.
• Each candidate will be called separately for the interview and interviewed in detail. If required, written test/online test shall be conducted.
• Any attempt to disrupt or interfere with the proceeding or any misconduct towards assisting staff or interview board members will disqualify the candidate without further explanation.
• Interview shall include questions related to subject knowledge, attitude assessment, aptitude assessment, subject assessment, personality assessment, etc., and may include practical assessment depending on the post to which the candidate appears.
• If the candidate fails to complete the process of the interview, he/she will not be ranked.
• In case suitable candidates are not available, experience will be relaxed as per the discretion of Director, MCC.

Important Note

• Request for change/correction in the application form shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
• In case if it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings are detected even after appointment, his/her service is liable to be terminated. The decision of MCC will be final in this regard.

One year experience in Nuclear Medicine in a Cancer Centre or Medical College or a multispecialty Hospital with Nuclear Medicine facility or a dedicated Nuclear Medicine establishment with at least Gamma Camera and PET–CT scan

7. The envelope containing application should be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN – NUCLEAR MEDICINE ON PERMANENT BASIS”.
8. During submission, applications that are not complete in all respect will not be considered and rejection letter in this regard will be given. If the required documents are not still submitted within the stipulated time, the application will not be considered for further process and will be rejected.
9. Applications without required certificates or documents will not be considered and will be rejected.
10. Selection will be based on qualification and experience and performance in the written test and interview. Claims in respect of Qualifications, Experience, etc. should be supported by self-attested copies of relevant documents; Candidates should produce the originals at the time of interview.

17. Age Limit: Age relaxation in the upper age limit for vacancies will be as follows:
    • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe – 5 years
    • Other Backward Classes – 3 years
18. Candidates eligible for age relaxation (applicable to those other than SC/ST/OBC) have to specify the details in the space provided in the application form and attach the relevant certificate(s) from the competent authority. About Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC) – मालाबार कैंसर सेंटर:

Malabar Cancer Centre, Thalassery (MCC) is an autonomous institution under Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala, started with an aim to establish a comprehensive cancer centre, providing the much-required oncology care to the population of Northern region of Kerala and neighbouring parts of Karnataka and Tamilnadu states. The main objective of the centre is not only to provide comprehensive cancer care but also to develop as a Research and Training Centre of international standards. A society named Malabar Cancer Centre Society was registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with the above aims and clinical work in MCC started from March 2001 onwards. At present MCC has around 110 in-patient bed strength which is expected to be increased to 220 in near future. The control and management of the Society are vested in the Governing Body consisting of 23 members with the Honarable Chief Minister of Kerala as the Chairman. The routine activities and functions of the Centre are supervised by the Executive Committee, with the Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala being the Chairperson of the Committee. The members in the Governing Body and Executive Committee are functioning by virtue of their official positions.
