1. Candidates without NET/GATE may also apply and they may be appointed as Project Associate with a fellowship of Rs. 25000/- per month in case if suitable NET/GATE candidates are not found. 2. The duration of the project is 3 years or co-terminus till satisfactory progress of the candidate which will be evaluated every year. 1. Incomplete application will be outrightly rejected. The PI reserves the right to shortlist suitable candidates. Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for interview via email/or phone. The interview shall be held in offline mode only. 2. The candidates with the knowledge of molecular biology techniques, background on Animal physiology/Biochemistry, research experiences in handling of small animals are preferable 3. Original documents should be produced at the time of interview. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

The UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (formerly known as Academic Staff College), Manipur University, was established with the approval of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, vide letter F. No.27-1/2005 (ASC) dated, the 12 October 2006. It starts its functioning since 2007. The scheme of setting up Human Resource Centre (HRDC) in selected universities of the country is to create new system commensurate with the expansion of higher education institutions by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the following broad plan of action:
- To organize specially designed Orientation Programmes (OPs) in pedagogy, educational psychology and philosophy, and socio-economic and political concerns for all new entrants at the level of Assistant Professor;
- To organize advanced level and more discipline oriented Refresher Courses (RCs), for capacity enhancement and continuous knowledge up-gradation and exposure to emerging developments of faculty involved in teaching in institutions of higher education;
- To ensure that every teacher in higher education system of our country is exposed to an OP and a RC at least once during the first three to five years; of his/her career;
- To organize specially designed OPs/RCs to enable the faculty involved in teaching and research in institutions of higher education to utilize fast growing Information and Communication Technology support to teaching and research.
