Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from individuals (Male/Female) who have a genuine interest in serving society without any financial benefit and wish to work for the upliftment of the weak and deprived sections. Eligible applicants include retired government servants, senior citizens, ANM workers, Anganwadi workers, doctors, students, members of non-governmental organisations and clubs, members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and any other individuals who have an interest in voluntary legal service. Persons who were previously engaged as Para Legal Volunteers with DLSA/ELSO and wish to continue may also apply. Candidates must fulfil the general conditions specified by the authority. The scheme is designed to be inclusive and representative of all communities and social groups.
Job Responsibilities
The PLV is expected to actively participate in the organisation of legal awareness camps and legal literacy programmes in their area and to perform designated work as directed by DLSA/ELSO (P.O.) or bring persons from villages to the DLSA or ADR Centre for legal aid.

General Instructions
There is no application fee for applying for the Para Legal Volunteer post under DLSA Madhepura. The application form (Prapatra) is available free of cost from the DLSA office or can be downloaded from the official website https://Madhepura.dcourts.gov.in. The selection process consists of screening of applications followed by an interview. Submitted applications will be screened based on the eligibility criteria and the candidate's interest in legal/social service. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, the date, time, and venue of which will be communicated on the mobile number provided in the application form. Since there is no written examination for this post, the interview and overall suitability of the candidate will be the basis for final selection. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final. Selected candidates will be informed and their names will also be published on the official website. An honorarium of ₹750/- per day is payable only on specific days when the PLV is specially assigned a task by the DLSA - such as when the PLV performs designated work as directed by DLSA/ELSO (P.O.) or when the PLV brings a person from a village to the DLSA or ADR Centre for legal aid. This engagement does not entitle the PLV to any service benefits, pension, provident fund, or any other perquisites associated with regular government employment.
