The constitution is the supreme law of India. This is a written document which lays down the framework demarcating fundamental basic code, structure, procedures, powers, and duties of Government and its organizations and rights & duties of the citizen. It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949 and came into force on 26th January 1950.
