- To identify place specific agricultural techniques by testing them on farmers’ fields under different farming systems.
- To organize front line demonstrations to establish/demonstrate the production capacity of technologies on farmers’ fields.
- To organize training from time to time for farmers and young men/women to acquire knowledge and enhance their skills regarding modern agricultural techniques.
- To organize training for extension workers to enhance their knowledge of technical development in their particular area of advance.
- To work as a resource and knowledge center for public, private and voluntary sectors for the improvement of agricultural economy of the district.
