Education Qualification
Candidates must satisfy either of the following qualification and experience combinations: Option 1: Masters degree in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Business Studies or Public Administration from a recognized university or institution. One year of experience in handling stores and maintaining store accounts. Option 2: Bachelors degree in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Business Studies or Public Administration from a recognized university or institution; or Diploma in Material Management, Warehousing Management, Purchasing, Logistics or Public Procurement from a recognized university or institution. Two years of experience in handling stores and maintaining store accounts. The prescribed stores and accounts experience must have been gained in any of the following: Central Government organization State Government organization Statutory or autonomous organization Public Sector Undertaking University or recognized institution Bank Private-sector organization listed on an Indian stock exchange

Job Description
Acting as custodian of the storehouse. Supervising staff working under the Foreman of Stores. Assisting senior officers in the audit of ledgers and folios. Coordinating with the audit authority. Managing inventory and disposing of scrap materials. Supervising the receipt and issue of stores in the warehouse. Ensuring effective material management. Performing other duties connected with stores and service requirements.

Affix a self-attested recent colour photograph in the prescribed place. Attach self-attested photocopies of the required documents. Enclose two recent passport-size colour photographs. Enclose a self-addressed blank envelope bearing a Rs. 50 postal stamp. Write APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF FOREMAN OF STORES in bold letters on the envelope. Also mention the category under which the application is being submitted. Send the application by ordinary post so that it reaches the prescribed address by 3 November 2026.
Important Instructions
Applications must be submitted by ordinary post only. Applications submitted by hand or courier will not be considered. The application envelope must clearly mention the post name and category. All documents must have been issued on or before 3 November 2026. The EWS certificate must be valid for the current financial year. Government employees must submit their applications through the proper channel with an NOC. Original certificates should not be sent with the application. Original documents must be produced during document verification. Incomplete applications or applications without the self-addressed stamped envelope will be rejected. Candidates should regularly check the Indian Coast Guard website for recruitment updates. Selection Process: Scrutiny of applications, Shortlisting of eligible candidates, Document verification, Written examination, Preparation of merit list based on written examination marks. Admit cards will be sent by post to shortlisted candidates using the self-addressed stamped envelope enclosed with the application. Written Examination Pattern: Mathematics (15 questions, 15 marks), Mental Ability and Reasoning (15 questions, 15 marks), General Awareness (15 questions, 15 marks), English (15 questions, 15 marks), Questions Related to the Profession (20 questions, 20 marks), Total (80 questions, 80 marks). Examination Mode: Pen-and-paper examination. Question Type: Objective-type questions. Question Paper Language: Bilingual. Duration: One hour. Marks per Correct Answer: One mark. Negative Marking: No negative marking. Passing Marks for UR and EWS: 40 marks. Passing Marks for ST: 36 marks.
