Candidates are to register and fill application on Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in w.e.f 18 Dec 20. To save time during the application submission window, candidates can fill in their details and upload documents in advance. 8. Online (e-application). Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:- (a) Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate. (b) Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled. (c) All relevant documents (preferably in original), marks sheets upto 5th & 7th semester for regular and integrated B.E. / B.Tech courses & other degree examination respectively, date of birth proof (as per 10th & 12th certificate), CGPA conversion formula for BE/B.Tech, Commercial Pilot Licence(CPL) issued by DGCA, Government of India, Merchant Navy certificate issued by Government of India, Ministry of Shipping & Transport and a recent passport size colour photograph should be scanned in original JPG/TIFF format, for attaching the same while filling up the application. (d) If any scanned document is not legible/readable for any reason the application will be rejected. Candidates are to take print out of application and carry it while appearing for SSB interview. Instructions
Shortlisting for SSB. (a) Shortlisting of application will be based on preference of entries and normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formulae mentioned in Join Indian Navy website (URL:- . (b) For candidates who have completed MCA, MBA, M.Sc, B.Sc and B.Com marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. In all others cases, marks obtained by candidates in all semesters till pre-final year will be considered. Candidates selected in the final merit list will be required to submit the proof of the completing the qualifying degree with minimum 60% of marks. Candidates failing to meet the criteria will not be permitted to join the Academy. (c) No communication will be entertained in this regard. (d) Approximately 8300 candidates ie approximately 40 candidates per vacancy per entry, except for SSC (Pilot) will be shortlisted for SSB. Their SSB interviews will be tentatively scheduled from Feb 21 onwards at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Visakhapatnam / Kolkata. SSB for Pilot & Observer entry will be conducted at SSB Bangalore only. (e) Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail or SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/mobile number till selection process is over.

Responsibilities
Following are the generic duties and responsibilities for this post:- (i) Provide QA/inspection for Ammunition and Explosives under the purview of DGNAI during their design/ production/ maintenance/ storage/ disposal at various NAI units at Depots/ Ordnance Factories/ DRDO Labs/ Quasi Military Establishments. (ii) Undertake visual inspection, assessment of life, re-filling, re-assembly, gauging, testing, proof firing and radiography of Ammunition and Explosive stores. (iii) Ensure correct and strict implementation of laid down procedures as per the reference documents. (iv) Maintain technical records of all QA/ inspection activities undertaken during production, maintenance and preparation of NA stores. (v) Undertake tests utilising various facilities available in-house towards QA/ inspection of NA stores. (vi) Assist in analysis and investigation of various defects/failures observed during production, maintenance, preparation and exploitation of NA stores. (vii) Ensure safe custody and serviceability of gauges and equipment used for QA/ inspection. (viii) The functional duties would involve sailing onboard Indian Navy platforms for trials & firings and handling of explosives and ordnance.

(b) The Indian Navy will not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications for the eligibility and other aspects at the time of online examination and, therefore, candidature will be accepted only provisionally. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification, age etc. and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post. Supporting documents uploaded by the candidate will be verified at the time of Document Verification. When scrutiny is undertaken, if any claim made in the application is not found substantiated, the candidature will be cancelled and the Indian Navy‘s decision shall be final. (c) Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed by Government of India and in the Notice. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the prescribed format by Government of India, in support of their claim. The formats of various certificates are also available in the ‘Documents Format’. (d) Candidates with disability of 40% and more only would be considered as Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) and entitled to reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. (e) Central Government Civilian Employees claiming age relaxation should produce a certificate in the prescribed format from their office at the time of document verification in respect of the length of continuous service which should be for not less than three years during the period immediately preceding the closing date for receipt of application. They should remain Central Government civilian employees till the time of appointment in the event of their selection. (f) When application is successfully submitted, it will be accepted 'Provisionally'. Candidate should take printout of the application form for their own records. Printout of the 'Application Form' is not required to be forwarded/ submitted to the Indian Navy at any stage. (g) Only one online application is allowed to be submitted by a candidate for the Examination. Therefore, the candidates are advised to exercise due diligence at the time of filling their online Application Forms. In case, more than one applications of a candidate are detected, the Indian Navy will consider latest application. If a candidate submits multiple applications and appears in the examination (at any stage) more than once, his/ her candidature will be cancelled and he/ she will be debarred from the future examinations of the Indian Navy.
