Library Professional Trainee

No. of posts: 02
Remuneration / Stipend per month: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month

Minimum Qualification / Experience:
Educational Qualification: Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc) or equivalent with First Class.
Desirable Experience: Knowledge of computers, IT Applications in Libraries, Library Management System.
Nature of Traineeship: Learn while work on different functions & services of the libraries of Transit and Main Campuses. The selected candidates will work from Monday- Saturday (six days a week) and be ready to work in different shifts, weekends and holidays on rotation basis.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 26 years as on the last date of receipt of online application form. Relaxation for different categories will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
Selection: Selection of candidates will be based on their consistent good academic record, performance in the written test, trade/practical test and personal interview.

Part Time Sports Coaches

No. of posts: 09 (01 each for all sports)
Remuneration: ₹ 20,000 – 30,000/- negotiable

Qualification and Experience:
Preference will be given to the experienced, qualified, result-oriented coaches with minimum qualification of NIS/MPED/PGDPEd/ BPE from UGC recognized University with two years of sports coaching experience in College/University/State team/National team of respective sports.
OR
Graduation in any discipline from UGC recognized University with sports coaching diploma/certificate from sports association/federation with three years of sports coaching experience in College/University/State team/National team of respective sports.
OR
Graduation in any discipline from UGC recognized University and the candidate must be an International player/National Player/State Player with five years of coaching experience in College/University/State team/National team of respective sports.
Working Days: Tuesday to Sunday (04 Hours to 08 Hours per day)

General Instructions

1. Candidates should read carefully the requisite minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria, etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for the post. Since applications for the post of Library Professional Trainee on contract will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the candidate in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying. 2. For the post of Library Professional Trainee on contract, candidates are required to apply ONLINE only from 20.06.2023 to 09.07.2023 up to 12:00 Midnight. 3. For the post of Part Time Sports Coaches mentioned at S.no. 2, candidates who fulfill the qualifications/experience exact skill set as mentioned should report for Walk-in-Interview at the above venue. Please bring a formal application in the prescribed format (available on the institute’s website) along with Bio-data having complete information regarding educational qualification indicating the percentage of marks of each examination passed, details of work experience, etc., and 04 recent passport-size photographs, along with Original and Self-attested photocopies of certificates (academic & professional qualification, experience, and other relevant certificates). 4. Application once submitted cannot be altered/resubmitted, under any circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data/particular entered by the candidate in the Online Application will be entertained once the application is submitted successfully. Therefore, please keep all data/details ready before you start filling up the Application Online.
5. Please note that this is purely a temporary arrangement, and appearance in the test/interview and selection thereafter will not entitle the candidate for any claim whatsoever or permanency on the regular establishment of IIT Ropar.
6. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
7. The number of vacancies indicated in the notification is tentative. IIT Ropar reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts at the time of selection. Further, IIT Ropar also reserves the right NOT to fill any of the posts advertised.
8. Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of appearing in Test/Interview as applicable. In the absence of the same, candidature will not be considered for the test/interview.
9. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding eligibility/conduct/result of the written test/interview, etc., and reasons for not being called for the written test/interview, etc.
10. Institute is free to restrict/change the criteria to call the eligible candidates for the Written Test/Skill Test, Presentation & Interview.
11. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.

13. Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. “INTERIM ENQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED”. 14. Experience/essential qualification and age will be reckoned on the last date for the submission of the online application form/date of walk-in-interview.

DETAILS OF ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND AGE(CLOSED)
Post Code-01: Scientific Assistant-C (Cryogenic)
Essential Qualifications: B.Sc. with Physics as a major subject with minimum 60% marks in B.Sc.
OR
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks in Diploma.
Essential Experience: 4 (four) years of relevant experience in the areas of experimental low
temperature physics, Modelling and simulations in the areas of condensed matter physics or
mechanical engineering, test and measurement instrumentation, automation of test and measurement
instruments. Candidate must have experience in handling liquid Helium and liquid Nitrogen cryogenic
system. These experiences should have acquired after obtaining requisite qualification.
Age: Minimum 18 but not more than 32 years as on 29.05.2023 for all categories i.e. born on or after
30.05.1991 (both days inclusive).
Job Profile: (a) Designing and executing new cryogenic measurement setups for the teaching labs and
research labs which includes designing the required hardware, preparation/fabrication of the same
through workshop along with graduate students and research assistants, (b) Writing LabVIEW
programs modules for controlling the equipment to be used for new setups along with PhD students.
(c) Regular maintenance and check-up of equipment in the liquid Helium and nitrogen plant and in
the research labs, (d) keeping track of day-to-day supply and operation of equipment in the liquid
Helium/liquid-Nitrogen plant and in the research labs.

Essential Qualifications:
B.Sc. (Computer Science) with minimum 60% marks in BSc.

Diploma in Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology with minimum 60% marks in
Diploma.
Essential Experience: 4 (four) years of relevant experience in the field i.e. maintenance &
administration of various computer based software packages / networks / server / storage / web

implement the SOPs and assist on-going research work. Training and assisting the users in surgical

Spectrometers, etc. for laboratory experiments in chemistry after obtaining requisite qualification.

Job Profile: The chemistry department houses a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (N.M.R.) facility
composed of four N.M.R. instruments, one 700 MHz and three 400 MHz, with different applications
and experimental capabilities. They are required to operate and safely maintain the whole facility.
Other instruments involved in this state-of-the-art section are E.P.R., X‐ray diffraction (XRD), GC-MS,
CHNS, ICP-OES, and two ESI-MS, TGA, D.T.A., I.T.C., confocal and laser instruments. The E.P.R.
instrument involves a similar to NMR type of operation and maintenance up to some extent. The staff
will maintain the facilities and be responsible for various tasks to set up, operate, monitor,
troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
