In the proposed work candidate is expected to synthesize structurally interesting molecular main-group metal chalcogenide complexes. In each case, systematic characterization of all the complexes will be carried out. While Multinuclear NMR, ESIMS IR spectroscopy will be used to characterize starting materials and the ligands, structural characterization of the final complexes will also carried out by Single Crystal X-ray diffraction.
