Qualification

. Post Craduate Degree (M.Sc.) or Ph.D with specialization in Genctics & Plant Breeding from a ICAR recognized University/ Institution. Candidate having knowledge/ experience in conducting of field trials and data collection. Preference will be given to experience in the field of Sugarcane Research and knowledge of computer. He/she should assist and involve in all the Sugarcane Research works entrusted by the Principal Scientist (Agro) & I{ead, ARS, Perumallapalle.

The minimum age under the young professional category will be 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.

Desirable
Qualifications

 Should be seaworthy, must be physically fit, and able to swim.  Experience in marine mammal taxonomy/biology/survey/stock assessment with a strong interest in the conservation of marine mammals.  Experience in molecular biological techniques  Experience in fisheries and oceanographic data collection onboard vessels/boats and experience in handling oceanographic equipment.  Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals/reports.

Responsibilities

 Candidate must be willing to travel to different locations along the Indian coast to collect data and to go onboard regularly in the traditional commercial fishing vessels and also be ready to undertake long-duration cruises in boats/ships for marine mammal survey and oceanographic data collection and analysis.  Data entry, data mining, compilation, tabulation and analysis of data.  Stock assessment of marine mammals and preparation of technical reports and scientific publications etc.  Post is purely on a contract basis for a period of one year (which may extend up to 3 years) from the date of joining or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

All the candidates are required compulsorily to furnish the declaration as detailed in ANNEXUREI and ANNEXURE-II duly signed and submit on or before 04.06.2024 7. The total number of vacancies may vary depending on other project requirements, if any, on the date of interview. 8. Candidates should produce the No Objection Certificate from their present employer, if any. 9. Decision of Director, ICAR-CMFRI will be final and binding in all respects. 10. Candidates having marks issued in the form of CGPA/OGPA should produce an approved conversion table/formula at the time of reporting for interview, otherwise, their candidature will not be considered. 11. The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time bound and are co-terminus with the project.
