Pay) Rules 2016 commuting to old pay scale vide orders of the Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare adopted by the Deptt. of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh Administration vide Endst. No. 7001/1/1 F & PO(7)-2008/8885 dated 23.09.2016. a. Pay scale for Medical Officer (MHI): - Rs. 56100/- + other allowances as admissible from time to time. b. Pay scale for Demonstrator: - Rs. 47600/- + other allowances as admissible from time to time.
Age Limit
37 years and in case of post doctoral degree holders is 40 years (Relaxable 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST & Govt. Servants (maximum upto 40 years) (THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL). 10 years for widows/deserted women/women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried.

The “Escola Medico Cirurgica da Goa” and was established in 1842 during the Portuguese rule and renamed as Goa Medical College in 1963. It is one of the oldest Medical College in Asia.
