Students who are going to the final year B.E./B.Tech. in the academic year 2026-2027 in the respective discipline (Electronics & Communication Engineering / Computer Science Engineering / Mechanical Engineering). Students with backlogs are not eligible.

₹30,000/- (total) in two installments of ₹15,000/- each (subject to minimum 15 days attendance per month)

Educational Qualification (Mandatory): Students who are going to the final year B.E./B.Tech. in the academic year 2026-2027 in the respective discipline (Electronics & Communication Engineering / Computer Science Engineering / Mechanical Engineering). Students with backlogs are not eligible. Other Conditions: Candidates must submit referral/sponsorship letter from their respective college along with the application. Selected candidates will be required to submit Police Verification Certificate and No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Principal at the time of joining.

Step 1 - Download Form: Download the prescribed application form from the official DRDO website https://drdo.gov.in/drdo/en/offerings/vacancies . Step 2 - Fill Application: Fill the application form in capital letters. Attach the referral/sponsorship letter from the respective college (on college letterhead) and all required documents. Step 3 - Send Application: Send the duly filled application along with enclosures to the following address by post, mentioning on the envelope 'Application for Paid Internship with Discipline' for which the candidate is applying: The Director, Defence Electronics Research Laboratory, Government of India, Ministry of Defence, Defence Research & Development Organization, Chandrayangutta Lines, Hyderabad - 500 005

Students with backlogs are not eligible. The duration of paid internship is for six months starting from 1st July 2026 tentatively. Students who do not complete the 6 months internship will not be awarded the internship certificate. Completion of the internship does not guarantee employment in DRDO. Other expenditure such as lodging, boarding, transport, medical etc., if any, will be borne by the individual concerned. Selected candidates will be intimated through mail along with terms & conditions and guidelines of internship. After selection, the candidate is required to obtain police verification certificate and submit at the time of joining. The number of vacancies is tentative. The decision of the Internship Selection Committee shall be final. All information related to the selection will be published on the DRDO website only; candidates must regularly check the website. Last date for receipt of applications at DLRL is 15 May 2026. Incomplete, erroneous, illegible and applications received after the due date will not be considered. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
