Instructions

1, The post is sanctioned up to 31k' March, 2026. This post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis. Notwithstanding the duration of the scheme, engagement of SRF can be discontinued owing to administrative reasons at any time by issue of one month's notice or one month's emoluments in lieu thereof. The SRF may also leave the assignment, on their own volition, by giving one month's notice. At the end of the contracted period, the SRF will have no right to claim any employment or engagement in the ICAR. 2. Interested candidates are required to appear for the 'walk-in-interview' on the date and time specified above at this Directorate along with their application giving full BIO-DATA, attested copies of testimonials and one passport size photograph. Original certificate need to be produced at the time of interview, 3. Experience certificate in original, if any 4. No objection certificate from the employer in case he/she is employed elsewhere. 5. About Directorate of Weed Research (DWR)- डायरेक्टरेट ऑफ़ वीड रिसर्च:

Considering the problem of weeds in crop fields and need for weed research in India, a Coordinated Weed Control Scheme on Wheat, Rice and Sugarcane was initiated as early as 1952 in 11 States of the country by the ICAR to monitor the weed flora and also to find out the relative feasibility of economical weed control. Later, a number of Crop Research Institutes of ICAR and State Agricultural Universities were involved in weed control research. Different State Agricultural Universities also initiated the syllabus for weed management at under graduate and post-graduate level to teach and train students and researchers in weeds and their management.
