Qualification
Minimum 3 years of work experience in the research projects in development, not-profit or any other relevant sectors.  MA/MSc in Statistics/economics (or equivalent)  Proficiency in English (knowledge of Hindi preferred).

 Proven skills in using analytical software e.g. STATA/R/SPSS  Knowledge of data visualisation packages would be preferred  Excellent storytelling skills;  A lateral thinker, you have the ability to analyse contextualise and research  A self-starter, you will be able to carry through plans from conception to successful execution.  You require minimum supervision, and are adept at multitasking.  A team player, you should have sensitivity towards interdisciplinary differences, and a client orientation.

Responsibilities
The SCI-FI intend to carry out a number of primary surveys to understand the sanitation situation at hand across various geographies. As a Research Associate you will be expected to:  Conduct desk research including analysis of secondary data sources, e.g. Census, NSSO and any other relevant data, to support the ongoing research activities.  Draw up survey methodology notes in coordination with other team members;  Design and undertake primary surveys;  Conducting detailed data analysis using analytical software and writing reports  Any other tasks as may be required under the project
