About Chandigarh Judicial Academy

Chandigarh Judicial Academy had been provided 8.5 acres of land in Sector 43, Chandigarh. The foundation stone for making the building at the present premises had been laid on December 10,2005 by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Y.K. Sabharwal, the then Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India in the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice D.K. Jain, the then Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and presently Hon’ble Judge of Supreme Court of India. The construction of the building took a great leap under the command of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vijender Jain, the then Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. Commencement of the construction actually took place on July 5, 2007. Later, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Tirath Singh Thakur, the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court took charge for showing the light to all of us for accomplishing the completion of the building, which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, Chief Justice of India on May 23, 2009.
