Experience Requirements
A minimum of 10 years compounded experience in dealing with land or forestry clearance related assignments matters of which fivé years at Corporate Office of a coal mining CPSU/PSU is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
(i) To provide advisory support on policy related matters to Land acquisition/ possession and matters of Forest Land for coal mining and allied activities. (ii) To advice on strengthening and re-structuring the existing monitoring mechanisms for flagging of issues/critical areas related to land &forest matters that may cause delay in completion of mining projects (iii) Handholding to subsidiaries of CIL in expediting land acquisition and forestry clearance (iv) Contributing in overcoming major constraints & bottlenecks faced by land & forest departments. (v) To support in providing suitable reply/opinion/comments n emergent matters related to land and forest including statutory/ legislative issues. (vi) Capacity building of executives dealing with land and forest matter. (vii) Other land & forest related matters, as assigned by competent authority.

General Instructions
1. The selected Advisor would be stationed at CIL Kolkata and will be reporting to Director (Tech), CIL. 2. The engagement of Advisor shall be subject to Medical fitness to be certified by Company Medical Officer. 3. Notice Period for termination of contract - one month's notice or consolidated compensation amount from either side. 4. The Advisor will maintain all information/ documents/ materials gathered during the course of engagement in strict confidence. They will not copy or make notes of such information/ documents except in conjunction with the work for the Company. They will not divulge to anyone outside the Company or use any of the information/ documents/ materials gathered during the course of engagement for their own or anyone's benefit, either during or after the terms of engagement with the Company. The aforesaid obligation shall also apply to proprietary/ confidential information/ documents of third parties received by them or the Company in the normal course of the engagement with the Company. 5. The Advisor shall, while demitting the Office, handover all information/ documents/ materials (in soft/ hard format) under their possession, during the engagement period, to the concerned HOD. 6. Vigilance/Departmental Clearance- The rules of promotion on the matter of vigilance/departmental/safety clearances shall hold good on the matter of appointments/engagements of retired officials of Coal India Ltd. 7. Further, compliance to circular no. 07/05/21 dated 03.06.2021 of Central Vigilance Commission to be made regarding procedure for obtaining Vigilance clearance before engaging retired officials other than that of Coal India Limited. 8. Tax- In case payment of GST is required, then the same shall be reimbursed on production of proof of such payment. 9. Other terms and conditions will be as per CIL's policy in vogue.
