7.1. No person shall be eligible for direct recruitment if he/she is less than 18 years of age and
if he / she is more than 42 years of age as on 01/07/2019 as per G.O.Ms.No.132,GA (Ser-A)
Dept., dated:15.10.2018. Candidates should not be born earlier than 2nd July 1977 and
not later than 1st July 2001.
7.2. Age Relaxation is applicable to the categories as detailed below:

A. The Commission is not responsible, for any omissions by the applicant in bio-data
particulars while submitting the application form online. The applicants are therefore,
advised to strictly follow the instructions given in the user guide before submitting the
B. All the candidates are requested to submit their application with correct data. It is
noticed that some of the candidates are requesting for change in the data, after
submission of the application. It is informed that such requests shall be allowed on
payment of Rs.100/- (Rupees hundred only) for each correction. However changes are
not allowed for name, fee and age relaxation. No manual application for corrections
shall be entertained. Corrections in the applications will be enabled after the last date of
the submission of applications and will be allowed up to 7 days only from the last date of

Candidates should, therefore, be very careful in uploading / submitting the application

furnished by the candidate subsequently will not be entertained by the Commission

a later stage and also liable for punishment as per Para 16.1 of this notification.
E. Before uploading/submission application form, the candidates should carefully ensure
his/her eligibility for this examination. No relevant column of the application form should
be left blank; otherwise application form will not be accepted.
1. Applicant must pay Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) towards application
processing fee and Rs 80/- (Rupees eighty only) towards examination fee.
2. However, the following categories of candidates are exempted from payment of
examination fee Rs.80/- only.
i) SC, ST, BC, PH & Ex-Service Men.
ii) Families having household supply white card issued by Civil Supplies
Department, A.P. Government. (Residents of Andhra Pradesh)
iii) Un-employed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser- A) Dept., dated:
18/10/1996 should submit declaration at an appropriate time to the
iv) Applicants belonging to the categories mentioned above (except
Physically Handicapped Persons & Ex-Service Men) hailing from other States
are not entitled for exemption from payment of fee and not entitled for claiming
any kind of reservation.
v) Candidates belonging to other States shall pay the prescribed examination fee of
Rs.80/-(Rupees eighty only), along with processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two
hundred and fifty only) through different channels as indicated at Para-8.
Otherwise such applications will not be considered and no correspondence on this
will be entertained.
About Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC)
The A.P. Public Service Commission came in to existence on 1st November, 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Before this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State. Andhra Service Commission came in to existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States.
On the eve of formation of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Andhra Public Service Commission was functioning with a Chairman and two Members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was functioning with one Member. Hence, A.P. Public Service Commission was constituted with a Chairman and 3 Members. With increasing work load, Government enhanced the Members as five in the year 1981 and later to Chairman and 7 Members in the year 1983. Government again reviewed the strength in 1994 and enhanced it to Chairman and 9 Members. This is the present strength.
