Ludhiana is one of the densely populated cities in the state of Punjab. The population of the city accounts to 13.98 lakhs in the year 2010, which is the largest city in the Punjab. Population of the city is found to be growing substantially due to continuous immigration of labourers from other states during the harvest season. It is located at the distance of 100 kms from the capital city of the Punjab, Chandigarh.
