The state of Jharkhand was carved out of the southern part of Bihar on 15 November 2000. With Ranchi as its capital, the state is concentrated with the country’s highly industrialized cities such as Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Bokaro Steel City and Dhanbad. For the youth looking around for a career in the academic research and educational sector, Jharkhand Govt has six universities namely, Ranchi University and Birsa Agricultural University, Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Kolhan University, Vinoba Bhave University and Nilambar Pitambar university. Besides these, there are a number of engineering colleges such as the NIT, Jamshedpur, Birla Institute of Technology, , Indian School of Mines University, and the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT). For those in the medical profession on and on the look out for a career opening in govt sectors, besides the M.G.M Medical College, Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and Patliputra Medical College And Hospital (PMCH) has all that they need for a career growth.
