Doctors are one of the most qualified professionals and are the most respected. It is a big wing and it is the only profession which needs everyday learning and everyday practice.
Eligibility
To become a doctor in the State and Central Government hospitals, mere MBBS wouldn’t be enough. The candidate is expected to have a minimum qualification of MD and specialization in their own area of interest. Without a specialization, the person will not be considered for government hospitals.
Designation and pay scale
Senior medical officer – Central Government industries always call for the post of senior medical officer, and the maximum age limit to apply for this post is 37 years. The person who is applying for this position is expected to have completed MS (Surgery division) from any recognized medical college.
Specialty doctors – Specialty doctors have opening both in central and state Government and the field of specialization may include physiotherapy, radiology, skin specialist, dental specialist, psychiatry and anesthesia. The person should have a minimum age of 20 and a maximum age of 35. Candidates beyond this age group will not be taken for screening, even if their qualifications seem eligible.
Staff physician – To become a staff physician in Government hospitals, the person has to be a MD (General Medicine) holder. The minimum age to apply is 25 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years.
Staff nurse – A staff nurse is a compulsory post in every hospital, especially in Government hospitals where the crowd is expected to be more. A staff nurse is next to the duty doctor, and is always available for approach. Qualification of either B.Sc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing would be enough to join the post of a staff nurse and the experience matters for the salary.
