Various banks under government control are in need of probationary officers. Placement will depend on vacancy in various banks across India. Many banks openly give advertisement in employment oriented newspapers with fee for various category of caste mentioned. Generally, candidates belonging to GEN will have to pay full fee while rest of the category have a fraction of this fee to be paid. Certain banks allow only online registration and application submission.
Government undertaking banks give a tentative date for written examination along with eligibility criteria. Age must be in between 21 to 30 as on 1st of January for that recruitment year. Pay scale offered generally is JMG scale-I with salary in the range of Rs 14,500 to Rs 27,700. Other allowances are given as per bank rules and regulations. Generally educational qualifications required is a graduate degree, irrespective of discipline, with a minimum marks cut off at 55%. Computer qualifications are also necessary. Diploma in computers from reputed centers like Aptech, NIIT, etc is also necessary criteria.
This examination will test one’s knowledge in reasoning, aptitude, general knowledge related to banking sector, computers as well as English.
